York City Football Club news management system

Andy has recently developed a bespoke news administration system for York City Football Club’s existing website, enabling the management of articles and associated information.

Here’s the news post about it from their website:

Thanks to Semlyen IT Consultants, City fans should find that team and match information appears on the website much more quickly in future.

The website has been built and looked after by City fan Andrew Clayton of Cybernic for several years and the club are very grateful for his support. However in conjunction with Semlyen IT Consultants, City staff now have the facility to upload information instantly to the website, reducing delays in getting information to the fans.

Whilst this is still in an experimental stage, users may have noticed that match previews and summaries have appeared before and after City’s last two matches and it is hoped that this will continue when City travel to Wrexham tonight. If possible, the team line up will also appear on the site approximately one hour before the match so that anyone who is unable to catch match commentary on BBC Radio York will know Martin Foyle’s team selection.

Plans are also in place to upload a more comprehensive match report as quickly as possible after the final whistle and the club will announce these details as soon as they are known.

City would like to thank Andy Reading at Semlyen IT for his help and support and also Jim Semlyen for agreeing to set up the system on a cost price basis saving the club considerable expense.

City have no hesitation in recommending their services and they can be contacted via www.semlyen.net or on 01904 654036.
